Cookie policy

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. « Similar technologies » include browser localStorage. They let a site remember small pieces of information between page loads or visits — for example, your language preference.

We use a single, strictly-necessary functional cookie :

• Name : ui_locale.
• Purpose : remembers whether you chose English or Français, so the site renders in your language.
• Type : first-party, strictly necessary / functional.
• Duration : persists across visits until you change your language or clear your browser storage.
• Contents : just a language code (« en » or « fr ») — no identifier, no personal information.

We also use your browser's localStorage to remember your cookie choice (key : mx-ads-consent), so we don't ask on every page. This stays on your device and is never sent to us.

We advertise on Google and LinkedIn. If — and only if — you choose « Accept », the site loads two advertising tags so we can measure our ads and show you relevant Maxor solutions. If you choose « Essential only », neither tag loads and no advertising cookie is ever set.

• Google tag (AW-16946759418), under Consent Mode v2 — DENIED by default. On Accept, Google may set first-party conversion cookies (such as _gcl_aw) so a contact-form submission can be attributed to one of our ads.
• LinkedIn Insight Tag (partner 6638002). On Accept, it sets LinkedIn advertising cookies used for conversion tracking AND retargeting — so we can later show you relevant Maxor solutions (lift planning, CRANEbee, custom software, Murlink) across LinkedIn.
• To change your choice, clear this site's data in your browser : the banner reappears and asks again.

Our traffic statistics (Plausible) are cookieless in all cases and are not part of this consent.

We do not use :

• Any advertising cookie unless you accept it in the banner (default is no advertising cookie).
• Analytics cookies — our traffic statistics are cookieless (Plausible).
• Fingerprinting or cross-site identifiers outside the Google / LinkedIn advertising tags you consented to.

The language cookie is strictly necessary, so no consent is legally required for it. Advertising & retargeting, by contrast, run only after you accept them in the banner.

Decorative photography is served through our own image optimization, so your browser does not contact the photo provider directly. If we ever embed a third-party widget that sets its own cookies, we will update this policy first.

You are always in control :

• You can delete the ui_locale cookie at any time in your browser settings — the site will simply ask for your language again.
• You can block cookies entirely in your browser ; the site will still load, but it won't remember your language between visits.
• Clearing your browser's site data also removes the cookie-notice acknowledgment, so the notice reappears.

If we add any new cookie or storage technology, we will update this policy and, where the law requires, ask for your consent before setting it. The « Last updated » date above reflects the current version.
